Join me at First Friday, also known as Art Murmur, in Oakland's Uptown Neighborhood. We will meet at the Rockridge BART Station at 6:00. We will see Lauren McIntosh's work at Oakopolis, see the current exhibits at the beautiful Vessel Gallery and explore the other galleries on 25th Street and part of Telegraph Avenue. When we have had our fill of art and people watching we will enjoy a no-host dinner at the Loring Cafe on Grand Avenue.

The cost of this outing is $20.

You are invited to join me at the Filoli Botanical Art Certification Program Graduation. This will include luncheon, a viewing of the graduates’ work, a chance to meet the graduates and hear about the process of working towards their certification in botanical art.

On Saturday, September 28th I'll be offering a chance to meet the artist, Victoria Veedell, in her South of Market studio, see her work and ask questions about her techniques and thoughts behind her oil paintings.

Victoria studied in France and New York City.  She has shown around the country and had solo shows in California, India and Japan.

We will meet at Victoria's studio at 11:00 AM and at noon go for a no-host lunch at Samovar Tea Lounge at Yerba Buena Center.
